Burger Cam!

The Burger King in Brazil went an extra mile by putting surveillance cameras in the restuarant and taking pictures of customers when they ordered. But not only did they take the pictures, they printed them on the wrappers! This might have slowed the service by a little bit but was worth it when loads of people got excited when they saw their pictures.

Burger King has opened two new locations in Qatar within the last 30 days. They opened one along Al Wakra road and inside the Villagioa Mall’s new entertainment centre near the Gondolania area. Costumers can customize their burgers any how they like and they can also order them via delivery. The exclusive franchisee of Burger King in Qatar is planning to open more Burger King Restaurants in different locations across Qatar in the next months/years. The strategy is simple! We want to serve our patrons and customers their way." Stated Michael N. Francis, Al Jassim Group's Marketing Manager, "And we intend to do that by opening more locations in different communities and by having delivery to the different areas" stated Michael during the Al Wakra restaurant opening.

Sales :(

Because of the winter weather at the start of the year, the sales in Burger King dropped 8.2% for the first two months in its U.S and Canadian locations. Worldwide the sales dropped by 5.4 %. The weather didn't really have an effect in Mc Donalds. This news came out just after Mc Donalds announced their best same-store growth in nine months!!

Queen got the boot!

Hahaha Queen Latifah got fired from Birger King before she was famous! Apparently she lost her temper in front of the assistant manager after a night cleaning the bathrooms. She said,"I would clean these bathrooms like they were my own. They would be immaculate when I'd be done with them." She also said "A lot of homeless people used to come in, so there would be a lot around to clean. I was like, 'You can't talk to me that way after I just cleaned that bathroom'. I just lost it."

Burger king was founded in 1954 by James Mclamore and his business partner David Edgerton. The reason Burger King became as successful as McDonalds was because Mclamore and Edgerton had the knowledge of running a restaurant. The first outlet was made in Florida and at that time the restaurant wasn’t called Burger king, it was called Insta Burker King because they wanted people to know that their food was made instantly. Today burger king has created 11000 restaurants in over 65 different countries and hired 340,000 employees across those countries.

Fast food is basically food that can be prepared quickly. While meals like microwaved dinners are fast food because they're made quickly, everyone refers to fast food as food in restuarants like Mc Donalds and Burger King.
